This is quite an old one that I forgot to post but I thought "better late than never". I know my work has really improved since this event it was one of my first wins of the new after taking over my new studio and I still wanted to share this with you guys.
In January, I was asked to shoot a photobooth at Northumbria University's Students Union EXP-0 Video Game Convention. I was a bit nervous as before this I had only done photo booths at university and I'd never done on my own before.
I setup my gear the night before and got to the event nice and early to get setup. Unfortunately at the start of the day the Maids from the event's cafe, that had also setup nearby my backdrop decided to borrow the backdrop to shoot some polaroids. Despite this I got some pretty good photos on the photo booth then at lunchtime I packed away my gear and when down to the main hall to get some photos of the Cosplay Competition on the main stage.
I then setup my tripod and camera in-front of the stage so I could get a good shot of the contestants without blocking the stage for the audience. The competition went on for about an hour and a half and I managed to get another set of photos of the contestant. The event closed up pretty quickly after this but I managed to snap a few more photos before everyone headed home.
